Sweden - a Great Country for Travelling
Sweden has a well-developed and reliable infrastructure - an extensive network of trains, buses and motorways - which means convenient transport not only to Sweden but throughout the country as well.
By air
Sweden has a good network of international and domestic flights. Regularly scheduled air services are operated by several air carriers. Domestic air carriers in Sweden provide service to larger as well as smaller cities and towns in Sweden. All flights in Sweden are non-smoking.

By train
Sweden has a highly efficient rail network covering the whole country. Passengers travel smoothly and comfortably on some of Europe´s most modern trains. The X2000, the Swedish high-speed train, operates on major routes and offers the highest standards of comfort, with radio and music channel outlets at all seats. In first class a meal will be served at the seat and in second class passengers have access to a Bistro coach. Modern InterCity trains operate between all major cities. Family coaches with a play corner are available on all InterCity trains, as well as a meal and refreshment service. Modern InterRegio cross-country trains link main lines. All offer refreshment service. Modern and comfortable overnight trains operate on the longer routes. All have first class and second class sleeping compartments and couchettes.

By bus
To travel by bus in Sweden is inexpensive and hassle-free. There is an excellent network of express services between the larger towns and cities in south and central Sweden and between Stockholm and the coastal towns in the north. Local and regional public transport is well developed in Sweden.

By car
Sweden has a well-developed road network, including several highways which traverse the country. . The speed limits vary between 30 and 110 km/h and they are always well marked. Traffic is usually light.
In July 2000 the Øresund Bridge, a new road and rail link between Copenhagen and Malmö, was opened. The bridge links the entire Nordic region with the rest of Europe
